Composition and terroir:
Meursault , the largest commune of white wines in the south of the Côte-d'Or, in the Burgundy region, is a unique example of the exceptional Premiers Crus , due to its southern exposure and its marl-limestone soil. The Meursault Poruzots by Louis Latour takes its name from the word "porroux" meaning stony in reference to its characteristic soil from which comes its Chardonnay grape variety. This Burgundy white wine was bred 8 to 10 months in oak barrels.
