Composition and terroir:
This red wine Mercurey Vieilles Vignes Domaine Theulot Juillot comes from pinot noirs planted on 3 different plots near Mercurey . These vines are between 47 and 62 years old. The first plot that culminates at 316 meters is exposed south and is composed of beige marls which give density. The second is closer to the center of the village, always exposed south on more calcareous soils which give it more complexity. Finally the third with its calcareous outcrops, culminates in 273 meters and brings finesse and fruity. Organic farming. Traditional Burgundian winemaking and aging in barrels with a maximum of 15% of new barrels.
