In 1446, Jean and Nicolas Moët were knighted by the King Charles VII.
One of their descendants, Claude Moët, who was a wine merchant in Epernay, founded the Moët House in 1743.
His pioneer and visionary grandson Jean Remy Moët changed this merchant company to the first international luxury brand.
Moët et Chandon developped since 1743 Champagne wines whose quality expresses all the richness and diversity of its fabulous vineyard.
With more than 1000 hectares, Moët & Chandon is the head of the largest vineyard in Champagne. However, the House also buys grapes from owners to create its wines.
Moët et Chandon offers wines recognized throughout the world.
