A domain and a trading house
Whether to work in the vineyards of the domain or to buy grapes, Henri de Villamont gives the same rigor and the same expertise.
The domain Henri De Villamont is firmly committed towards quality in the mid- 2000s under the leadership of Pierre Jean . It relies on owned vines and trading on a " hand-stitched ." It is located in Savigny- les-Beaune, in a large house with original architecture dating from the 19th century , with cellars of 2400 m2 that can accommodate up to 4000 barrels !
The domain covers 10 hectares in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. The vines are trained in pest management and grapes harvested by hand at their optimum ripeness . Supplies grapes for the trading part , are made with great care. For all wines, breeding periods were lengthened and the percentages of new oak have been reduced to produce wines revealing as good as possible the soils .
