The Château Fleur de Jean Gué was acquired by a Libourne merchant and it still belongs to the family, of which Xavier Magen, the current farmer, is a descendant. The latter himself ensures the raising and vinification, with a constant concern for Quality of these red Bordeaux wines.Situated in the heart of the village of Lalande, north of the limits of the Pomerol appellation, the domain now extends over fifteen hectares with vines aged 25 to 30 years. The grape variety of this pretty vineyard is made up of more than 80% of Merlot, the rest being planted in Cabernet Franc. Planted on sandy and gravelly soils. The harvest is done in a traditional way, the estate being very attached to perpetuate good practices to produce Bordeaux wines of excellent quality.
