Products of the domain : Cave de Lugny
La Cave de Lugny was created in the 18th century. During the 20th century, it was transformed into a wine cooperative and then twinned with two other cooperatives. Today this cellar is the first producer of wines of the Mâconnais and the first producer of wines of Burgogne. It federates 232 domains out of 27 communes surrounding Lugny, which is about twenty kilometers from Mäcon. Its 1366 hectares of vineyards are distributed as follows: 86% Chardonnay, 8% Pinot Noir, 4% Gamay and 2% Aligoté. This cooperative manages 16 appellations of Burgundy and has 400 members. She produces : White wines made from Chardonnay, which reveal aromas of white flowers, honey or citrus fruits; Red wines, supple and light, based on Gamay for Mâconnais and Pinot Noir for Burgundies; Rosé wines, blend of Gamay or Pinot noir, which release aromas of red fruits; And Crémant de Bourgogne, a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which produces a very balanced and fruity wine. The whole production process of these wines, from the vine growing to the bottling, is the subject of great vigilance in order to improve the quality continuously. All the vines are cultivated with respect for the reasoned cultivation and the yield is controlled to the benefit of the quality. The cooperative, since 2014, has obtained the label Vignerons en Développement Durable
