Here we find the great red wines of Burgundy, born of Pinot Noir, exceptional terroirs and expertise in the field.


The domaine Varoilles operates 10 hectares of vineyards, planted exclusively with Pinot Noir, the major grape variety of the Côte de Nuits. Directed by Gilbert Hammel, the domain owns four monopolies Gevrey Clos du Couvent, Gevrey Clos du Meix des Ouches, Gevrey premier cru Romanée and Gevrey premier cru Clos des Varoilles : a parcel which according to written, was planted before the twelfth century.


The vineyard applies the methods of pest management and harvesting is done by hand.


After two weeks of fermentation, the wines are aged in oak barrels for a period of 12 to 24 months, depending on the level name.
