Nicole and Bernard Chave a 4 hectares property (1ha of Crozes Hermitage and 3ha of orchards) in 1970 in Mercurol in the Drôme. They bought other plots and in 1994 they have 16 ha including 1ha of hermitage, 6,5ha of Crozes Hermitage, and the reste of orchards. 


From 1970 to 1973, their harvests were sold to a dealer, but in 73 they decided to vinify their wines themselves and create their own winery in 1978.Their son joined them in 1996 particularly for the vinicole work.  He restructures the vineyard, leased to Other plots, plant 5 ha more.


The vineyard grows during the time and represents 20ha of vines in 2007. Trade is today mainly in bottle and export represents 60% of the activity of the areaarea.
