For a long time, at the time of Dr. Brun-Despagne, the castle was vinified at the wine cooperative Génissac. In the late eighties, after extensive work in the winery and in the vineyards, the castle decided to vinify and bottle wines on site. On a heavy clay soil, the average age of the vines is high and Merlot is a large majority.

Belonging to the family of the trader Michel Querre this vintage Génissac is located a few kilometers from Saint-Emilion.
