Ranked third grand cru at the classification of 1855, Château Calon-Segur is a vineyard of 94 hectares located in Saint-Estèphe, which was called Saint-Estèphe Calon for a long time.

In the 18th century, the Marquis Nicolas-Alexandre de Ségur, president of the Parliament of Bordeaux, who also owned Château Lafite and Château Latour, acquired the castle and its domain. He added his name to that of Calon.

Bought in 1894 by Georges Capbern Gasqueton, the domain remains in the family Capbern Gasqueton throughout the 20th century. In June 2012, the homestead was sold to Suravenir Insurance.
