Products of the domain : Château Léoville Barton

In 1722 Thomas Barton left his native Ireland to discover trading with his uncles who were merchants, then moved to Bordeaux to specialize on the wine. His business flourished, thanks to its loyal customers in Ireland.

Then his grand son, Hugh Barton continued to grow its business, even though he was arrested in the vicinity of the Revolution and had to go back many years in England and Ireland. Ronald Barton handed in state the vineyards after the war in 1945 to create memorable vintages in the years that followed, and he donated the domain in 1983 to his nephew, Anthony Barton, who is the current owner.
